Mapas mentais no ensino de geografia : experiências no 9º ano do ensino fundamental em Inhumas/GO

Abstract

The present research has as main objective to analyze the use of the mind map as a methodology for teaching Geography in the 9th grade classroom Fundamental of the students of the full-time State College Horácio Antônio from Paula. For this purpose, lesson plans were developed with a methodology which associated the contents to the production of the mental map. Applied to classes, with the problematization of the content, through discussions in the classroom and in the text, was asked students to produce mental maps that represented the following theme “Globalization in the city of Inhumas-GO”. After that moment, analyzes were made of these produced maps, by the students with the in order to identify the most recurrent difficulties, what elements they used for the representations. Therefore, in view of an analysis carried out through the results of these classes, the students' mental maps and their analyses, was possible to see how these students manage to associate the contents taught in the classroom with the socio-spatial reality of their city, and understand how this methodology of mind maps can help the teacher in their practices in the classroom.
