Atlas da luta pela terra no município de Goiás/GO

Abstract

The Fight for the Land in the municipality of Goiás/GO, as well as throughout Brazil, is the result of a process history, a process that triggered thousands of conflicts throughout the Brazilian territory since the "discovery". The conflicts between workers and landowners came to provoke great battles and great fronts of struggle in the countryside and in the city, such as the war of Canudos, Contestado, Porecatu, the Strikes at Cafezais Paulista, Trombas and Formoso, the Peasant Leagues, the ULTAB, the MST, among others. As a result of each battle, we have the strengthening of Luta pela Terra, which despite being strong repression is renewed and reinvented in search of ways to liberate land and work. A fair but arduous path that Brazilian workers are now walking is the Reform Agrária, where, supported by various social movements, thousands of Settlement Projects emerged all over Brazil. These settlements, despite being numerous, do not impact the solid structure of the latifundia. Thinking about Agrarian Reform is not just thinking about looking for land for workers, it is looking for also public policies for the development of settlements, is to seek not only the development settlements, but also the social development of settled families. In this search that we will develop this work, trying to think about each part of the 23 settlements created in the municipality of Goiás/GO, we will present the most diverse physical and social elements that make up these parcels, we will think about geology, geomorphology, soils, cover and use of this soil, the water resources, the social aspects, the production and health of each parcel, of each settlement, so that we can understand the uniqueness of each one and think about organizational forms that can strengthen these settlements in order to strengthen the Struggle for Land and for Agrarian Reform.
