Patrimônio, expansão e segregação : como Goiás - GO se (re)produz enquanto cidade

Abstract

The present work proposes to analyze the urban perimeter of the municipality of Goiás - GO. Its urban core begins with the arrival and settlement of bandeirantes from São Paulo, in 1727, in the midst of the gold exploration process in the interior of Brazil. In almost three hundred years of history, the city has passed and still undergoing many transformations. The aim here is to: identify the strategies used in the production and reproduction of Goiás as a city, in the constant expansion of its urban fabric; understand how the title of Heritage of Humanity affects the daily life of the city, adding other actors and interests, influencing the preservation/conservation of a small fragment of its urban fabric; and make considerations about segregation existing socio-spatial structure in the municipality, its characteristics and intentions. The first chapter is devoted to theoretical reflections on the themes addressed in this work. In the second chapter, our approach will be in the context of the formation of the city's urban nucleus as an articulated and fragmented. In the third chapter, we will try to understand the recent changes in the dynamics of the urban core, as well as their impacts on the spatial (re)arrangement of the city of Goiás. Understanding the dynamics that occur in the transformation of the urban space of the city of Goiás showed of the simplest tasks. Knowing the contexts in which they are inserted the issues related to the spatialization of the city contributes to the construction of a more just and communitarian society, thus fulfilling the in our view, a duty of geographic science, revealing the social masks and collaborating with social transformation.
