Impactos ambientas urbanos: análise da bacia do Córrego Chapéu de Padre,Goiás (GO)

Abstract

The general objective of this study was to understand the environmental impacts resulting from the use and land occupation in the Córrego Chapéu de Padre basin, city of Goiás-GO, as well as the residents’ relationship with these impacts. As a methodology, we carried out a survey and review bibliographical, necessary to understand the reality investigated; image analysis of satellite and field surveys to identify the main impacts in the study area; It is, the application of an open questionnaire to ten residents who live in the basin, with the aim of to investigate their relationship with the negative environmental impacts that occur in this unit of study. From satellite images and field surveys we observed that there is increased the number of buildings in the area (mainly kitnets and apartments), with the consequent removal of vegetation and increased soil sealing. Also we observed that there has been a lot of garbage (solid waste) disposed of inappropriately, mainly in civil construction and domestic areas, including in humid areas or within streams. Garbage and water and air pollution were also identified as main impacts negative in the basin, which has been responsible for several illnesses in residents.
