O grupo da terceira idade e o uso da internet banking: uma investigação no município de Posse-GO

Abstract

In the face of the globalized and technologically connected world in which we currently live, there is an increasing search for the adoption of services that bring practicality and convenience in everyday activities, such as digital banking services. However, despite being exponentially adopted by most users of this type of service, there is still a portion of the population that encounters obstacles in using these platforms, as an example we have the elderly group, composed of the elderly population. With that in mind, it is important to observe the factors that motivate this reality and seek ways that can bring more inclusion of this group together with the use of these technologies. In view of this, the present study aimed, through data collection with the elderly population, carried out through a qualitative and quantitative research through a debate with open and closed questions in the municipality of Posse Goiás, to understand the usability and limitations that the group of old age comes with the use of Internet Banking. As for the results obtained, there was a great difficulty for the elderly population in relation to the adoption of new technologies, as well as the use of internet banking. Based on this, there is a need to seek ways to remedy the limitation of this group in relation to the use of this technology.
