A metamorfose feminina na gravidez: uma reflexão sobre a identidade

Abstract

This Article had as general objective investigate the metamorphosis of female identity during pregnancy. The specific objectives are: to understand identity in modernity, to discuss historical aspects of female identity in motherhood and, finally, to analyze affectivity and identity in pregnancy. Therefore, a qualitative research and a literature review were carried out. During the development of the study, the methodology was adjusted several times to meet the objectives. Firstly, the results revealed the scarcity of free articles on the topic. After readaptation, it was found that motherhood involves several dimensions and must be understood as a historical-cultural process, of an individual and collective nature. This new added identity is historically adapted from cultural phenomena and is not inherent to women. Thus, the importance of developing research in this area to promote contextualized interventions for pregnant women is reiterated.
