GÊNERO E SEXUALIDADE EM AMBIENTE ESCOLAR: uma reflexão queer sobre práticas pedagógicas em prol da diversidade

Abstract

The present work refers to discussions around sexual and gender diversity in a school environment, allowing us to problematize the social, historical, cultural and political trajectory of these themes. The general objective was to problematize issues of social diversity in a school environment, more precisely focused on queer pedagogical practices in relation to the themes of gender and sexuality in school spaces and, among the specific objectives: i) analyze historical aspects involving the terms sexuality and gender; ii) investigate the setback present in national curricular documents regarding terms and practices focused on sexual orientation and diversity; iii) discuss the presence of teacher training in the dissemination of the male x female binary; iv) understand how queer studies reverberates resistance as movement, practice and recognition; v) analyze the path of Queer Linguistic Education, and; vi) explore and briefly describe pedagogical practices aimed at sexual diversity. In this sense, the question was: how queer studies and pedagogical practices focused on sexual and gender diversity can represent the construction of material and immaterial spaces for the concreteness of dialogues and actions that promote the development of these themes in the school environment, specifically in Education Children and the Early Years of Elementary School. Methodologically, it is structured as a bibliographical research, of an exploratory and descriptive type, which discusses a theoretical repertoire based on works by Borba (2015; 2020), Pessoa (2019) and Mazarro (2021), to reflect on sexuality and gender in the school space and to problematize these issues with a view to reducing prejudice and promoting recognition and respect for difference. Given the results constructed, they were created by analyzing pedagogical practices that have been carried out and how they overcome the setback in Brazilian public educational policies.
