Cia. Teatral Óbvio: resistência cultural e social no município de Porangatu-GO

Abstract

This article is entitled “Cia. Teatral Óbvio: cultural and social resistance in the municipality of Porangatu-GO” and seeks, through this study, to investigate the reasons that lead the Companhia Teatral Óbvio to be a resistance group in the municipality of Porangatu, Goiás. The problem consists of trying to understand the marginalization of the group, since, in contrast, the municipality hosts a large-scale event in the theater area, the Mostra Nacional de Teatro de Porangatu (TENPO). Through the study of the history of resistance theater, taking as examples the Teatro de Arena, the Teatro Oficina, and others, the trajectory of groups that resisted culturally and served as a basis for the creation of current groups is traced. It is expected that this study contributes to the understanding of culture as a form of social resistance, highlighting the role of the Cia. Teatral Óbvio and its relevance in the cultural-social scenario of Porangatu and that it can contribute to the study of other marginalized groups and individuals.
