Vila Mutirão : entre os discursos de inclusão e as práticas segregadoras no espaço urbano de Goiânia

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the construction process of Vila Mutirão from of residential segregation in the neighborhood. The residential segregation manifested in the sector has been result of housing policies implemented by the State in the 1980s. understand the political nature of residential segregation, we seek to understand the production of urban space in capitalism together with the State, as the main actor in the constitution of segregating processes, and as a result, socio-spatial conflicts. Right away we seek to investigate how residential segregation impacts the capitalist city, based on theoretical references. We carry out field research with a view to diagnosing and pointing out the elements that qualify residential segregation, and finally, we highlight how the Segregation is present in Goiânia, particularly in its intra-urban space, from the problems listed by the residents of Vila Mutirão this year.
