Procedimento anestésico em cadela submetida à mastectomia unilateral total associada a ovariohisterectomia: relato de caso

Abstract

The present graduation work aims to describe an anesthetic procedure used in a clinical case that occurred during the mandatory curricular internship in anesthesiology and small animal emergency at the Veterinary Hospital of the Universidade Federal de Goiás, located in the city of Goiânia, Goiás, which lasted four months. During this period, it was possible to deepen the knowledge within the veterinary anesthesiology of small animals, in addition to monitoring the emergency routine, as well as the importance of performing and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging and clinical and physical examination within these areas mentioned, and how monitoring is a crucial factor for patient survival. The internship was of great importance for the completion of the course of Veterinary Medicine, since it was possible to observe and put into practice the knowledge acquired in college and along with that, learn that Veterinary Medicine is a profession where veterinarians work together, each one exercising their function to perform the best care to the patient.
