REPRESENTAÇÕES SÓCIO ESPACIAIS SOBRE O CERRADO – UM ESTUDO COM OS ALUNOS DA 2a FASE DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL DO COLÉGIO ESTADUAL MARTINS BORGES EM PIRES DO RIO - GOIÁS

Abstract

This research has as a theme the socio-spatial representations of the Cerrado, a study with the students of Elementary School II in the Martins Borges State School, located in the city of Pires do Rio – Goiás. It’s problematic to ask what these students’ views on the subject, what they have as knowledge about this place, how the Cerrado is worked in the Geography classes, analyze which natural, political, social and economic aspects are present in these students’ representations. The main objective is to investigate how these students acquire knowledge about the Cerrado from Geography classes. Issues such as School Geography are discussed. The methodological procedures used for the development of the research consisted of bibliographic surveys, compounds by books, articles, dissertations. Questionnaires were applied to students in the 6th grade A and 9th grade A of the morning shift, as well as to the geography teachers of the field school, specifically three teachers. The research to be worked on is of importance to Geography, as its object of study is the relationship between man and nature, and thus, when working with the Cerrado and as it’s seen by the students, these research will have materiality to the geographic studies, besides it works on this project in an Educational Institution, the research will be important because it looks for the main difficulties that the student and teacher tend to when working on the Cerrado. Thus it’ll be possible to arouse the interest of those who will read the research and thus somehow, individually or collectively, help in the conversation of our Cerrado.
