Abstract

The general objective of this work was to understand how Physical Education classes, which take place in a gender-segregated way, interfere in the teaching-learning process of high school students at Colégio Expressão, a private school located in the metropolitan region of Goiânia. The methodology of the work is characterized by a case study, being of the non-experimental exploratory type, questionnaires with closed questions for the students were applied as an evaluation tool, with the objective of analyzing and understanding how gender segregation interferes in the students' practice, together with the observation of the classes given. During the course of the work, graphs were presented based on the questions answered by the students, graphs that allowed us to reach the conclusion that within the school environment, opinions on gender segregation in Physical Education classes are not well regarded.
