PSICOMOTRICIDADE: Jogos e Brincadeiras no Desenvolvimento Infantil

Abstract

Psychomotricity is an area that has dedicated countless knowledge to be applied in early childhood education and that contribute to the better understanding of the child's body and how important is its physical and motor development and how it can be potentialized in school. The choice of the theme occurred from theoretical readings on the psychomotricity and also from the observation of several educational institutions that are concerned to develop activities that take the child to the movement, both to get her to know her body and to go gaining autonomy. It aims to analyze how games and games can be used to work the students' psychomotricity. In order to achieve this goal, a bibliographic research was carried out using works by authors who discuss the issue of psychomotricity, its history, the functioning of the nervous system, psychomotricity in early childhood education, the teaching relationship with this question, among other aspects. It became clear that by providing contact with games and games, the teacher helps the child to develop physical and motor aspects, to interact with the environment and with other people around him, which is of fundamental importance for their development and learning.
