EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL COMO TEMA TRANSVERSAL E SUAS CONTRIBUIÇÕES PARA O ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL EM CRISTIANÓPOLIS

Abstract

This study has the theme Environmental Education and its contributions to elementary education in Cristianópolis aim to understand what its function, what is its importance and whether it is actually being worked in schools, and for such discovery will require the application of questionnaires. In the present research the origin of the Environmental Education, its national and international history, its course as well as the challenges and the actions in the education were approached. It reports on the importance of being

worked on in schools and what are the best ways to do this, considering that it is a cross- cutting theme, having as a benefit the cooperation between the disciplines, aiming at the

advantages that will promote both the school, the community giving the opportunity to work in interdisciplinarity. The purpose of this paper is to understand what Environmental Education is and whether it is being applied in schools and is being applied correctly, if there are challenges, and what are the means of overcoming them. For that, we used bibliographical research and field research, which provided a basis for this theme. In this research, authors such as: Reigota (2009), Souza (2007), UNESCO (2007), Macratto (2002) Fazenda (2008) among others.
