BULLYING NA ESCOLA: A particularidade da obesidade infantil

Abstract

The following research titled "Bullying in school: the particularity of childhood obesity" brings a study about violence that occurs within school institutions, it repeats itself and causes traumas, called bullying, highlighting mainly violence with obese children. Their forms of aggression are presented and the characteristics of each participant are aggressors, victims and spectators, basing and contextualizing some events and their peculiar characteristics. This type of violence is veiled, through a series of cruel, intimidating and repetitive behaviors, over a long period, against the same person. Although many people do not know the meaning of the term they have already suffered or practiced some act that characterizes this phenomenon. It is also intended to report how this type of violence occurs in schools, what causes it and its consequences. The concept of violence / bullying, the history of bullying, the cases around the world, the forms of aggression in school, the case of obese children, the causes and consequences for obese children will be studied and researched. Bullying occurs in all school premises whether in the classroom, bathroom, hallway, the fact is that this phenomenon is inserted in school institutions. We used a bibliographical research, and for a better understanding, a field survey was conducted, where questionnaires were given to students and teachers at the Amelia Issa State School in the municipality of Orizona for students in grades 3 to 5 of elementary school, about how bullying happens inside of the school, then the graphs were elaborated with the analyzes of the data obtained through the answers of these questionnaires. And finally some suggestions were made to reduce bullying in school.
