DA TELA ÀS PRATELEIRAS: ROQUE SANTEIRO E A COLEÇÃO NOVELAS DA REDE GLOBO

Abstract

The investigative purpose of the research that we present here is focused on the survey, as well as on the reflection and commentary of some adaptations of literary works for Brazilian television and television works for the literary text, focusing on the telenovela genre. This is one of the most representative television genres and present in the day-to-day life of the Brazilian. There are several telenovelas that were born from literary works, such as: A escrava Isaura, Éramos seis, Helena, Senhora, Ciranda de pedra, A Moreninha.. From the pages of the book, in which writing predominates, to the screen, in which there is a symbiosis between image and sound, or vice versa, there are various processes called by adaptation (STAM, 2003), intersemiotic translation (JAKOBSON 1985), Television palimpsest (GENETTE, 2006), creative transposition or re-creation (CAMPOS, 2004). We have structured our work into three chapters. In the first, we will draw a brief history about the Brazilian telenovela. In the second, we will consider adaptations and remakes of soap operas. In the third, we will present some television narratives that have been adapted for the literary text. In order to develop our bibliographical research, we will use as theoretical reference the work of the following authors: Balogh (2002), Balogh e Mongioli (2009), Barbosa (2009), Barros (2007), Campos (2004), Figueiredo (2005), Franca e Diniz (2009), Genette (2006), Jakobson (1985), Mayer (2010), Pellegrini (1999), Pereira Junior (2009), Pinheiro (2012), Reimão (2004), Stam (2003).
