Danças de matriz afro-brasileira: uma possibilidade na infância

Abstract

This study aimed to apprehend the importance of Afro-Brazilian dances in early childhood education, considering the historical aspects and legacies left by African peoples and their contributions to the construction of Brazilian society, whether in its historical, cultural, social and political aspects. Considering that the theme about African Culture and especially the Afro- Brazilian dances object of this research, is little present in academic curricula, not receiving the necessary attention for the development of curricular proposals that aim at the effectiveness of such theme in the courses. of teacher training and in basic education, we seek to identify the possibilities of teaching Afro-Brazilian dance in early childhood education, considering the mandatory nature of this teaching, which is guided by Law 103639/03 the Law of Basic Education Guidelines which includes in the official curriculum of the school system the mandatory presence of the theme “Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture. In this way, the research is divided into two moments, in the first moment it begins with the bibliographic research and survey of references about our object of study in order to deepen the theme, and in the second moment, the elaboration and systematization of a pedagogical proposal on the dances of afro-brazilian matrix for children of kindergarten.
