O protagonismo feminino na imprensa alternativa brasileira através das charges do jornal “Nós mulheres” : 1976-1978

Abstract

The purpose of this research is focused on presenting the female condition in cartoons published by the newspaper Nós Mulheres, producing in the 1970s during the lead in Brazil, the military dictatorship (1964-1985), showing the articulation of these women as an organized movement that ended up leading to the genesis of the Jornal Nós Mulheres (1976-1978), this being one of the pioneering newspapers focused not only on feminine themes but also to the feminist ideals of the second Feminist Wave that began in the 1960s, aiming to in this source, the newspaper, the representation of the female condition through cartoons and cartoons developed by newspaper contributors in the 1970s and published in the newspaper's editions We Women, which had eight editions from 1976 to 1978. In addition to representation imagery of the female condition, this research proposes to present political and social aspects that allowed women to live in conditions of submission, whether by a Authoritarian state, whether due to a current patriarchal culture, and from the moment in which some women, by turning against an oppressive regime, by articulating themselves in groups contrary to the current order, realized that oppression was not just one, which led to dissent and the formation of diverse women's groups in Brazil, mainly São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. And finally, this research seeks not only represent the female condition during the dark years of the Military Dictatorship, but carry out a connection with the years after the regime, in order to present ruptures and permanence regarding the female reality experienced in Brazil, whether in the distant past or today.
