Abstract

The work on screen aims to discuss the impact and consequences of domestic violence on the learning process of children. Domestic violence is a social problem that is taking on a greater proportion every year and generally the biggest victims are women and children. In line with Pfeiffer et.all (2011), violence affects a large part of the population, which is why it has been seen as a social demand, thus requiring greater care in the areas of security, education, social assistance and health, as they directly influence this issue. And this is very serious, as it ends up causing a lot of problems for its victims, especially if they are children, as they are psychologically shaken, affecting their way of living. What can be done to eradicate this level of violence within homes? And how can we help teach these victims after suffering such abuse? Domestic violence is not just the physical act of aggression, it is treating with indifference, lacking respect, humiliating, offending, mocking, exploiting, among others, we will talk more about this below. The choice of the theme was something I thought about for a long time, since, in addition to witnessing violence suffered by people close to me, I also worked as an assistant teacher in a children's class. During classes, there was a constant report of children who suffered attacks at home, they narrated scenes that they saw in great detail, they witnessed it frequently and this moved me, generally, the reports were of fights between the parents, with a lot of violence. We always noticed that the children were becoming more different every day, those who loved to play no longer wanted to play, excluded themselves, were afraid of giving opinions or asking me for something, lack of appetite, sleeping late because, as the fights always happened late in the morning, At night, the children didn't sleep because the noise was intense, so they slept during class time
