Inserção do ensino de direito no currículo da educação básica: propostas e discussões

Abstract

The present work addresses the lack of legal knowledge on the part of the Brazilian population. Recognizing the need for the democratization of legal knowledge, it is understood that formal education would be the way to achieve this objective. This study demonstrates the pertinence of legal teaching in basic education, indicating that this practice converges with the objectives outlined for education in articles 205 of CF/88 and 2 of the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (9.394/96). Thus, the work on screen, seeks to investigate what would be the relevance of inserting the teaching of Law as a mandatory subject of basic education and what would be the necessary actions for this to be effective. The applied methodology consisted of bibliographical and documentary analysis. It concludes by the viability and necessity of inserting the teaching of Law in the national basic education curriculum, preferably in the high school grades.
