A mulher na educação do Brasil: uma trajetória repleta de desafios

Abstract

The work organization structure intends to present the role of women from Colonial Brazil to the present day, with emphasis on the area of ​​education. Also a small reference to the thoughts of some scholars such as Ribeiro (1997), Freire (1977), Louro (1997), on the role of women in different segments of society. Among other issues, the imposition of machismo throughout history will be addressed, which still remains marked by the remnants of a prejudiced and oppressive society, denying women the possibility of personal fulfillment. It also presents the role of black women who, in the teaching profession, face difficulties related to racism in today's society. To enrich the work, the results of interviews with black women who knew how to face the challenges imposed on them to achieve professional and personal fulfillment will be presented.
