Utilização do geogebra na aprendizagem em geometria

Abstract

This work was focused in the way to understand how informatics can help students to learn geometrics and think about a way to make a geometrics studs more dynamics. For this purpose was developed some activities on informatics laboratory with second years students from the Professor Alcides Jubé High School on evenings about six meetings between researches and students in this High School lab. These meetings happen during about fifteen days only. The motivation for this research took place from the difficulties students have in making abstractions over the contents of the discipline of geometry, and demonstrations. The choice to use the software GeoGebra was because it has a good performance and is operate on both platforms most used in education, Windows and Linux. Although, this software doesn‟t have any charge or tax to install and can be used by the student even home. Another advantage of GeoGebra is that this software can be accessed directly from the Internet without the need of software installed on your computer that the student will use the software. Across the resources offered by GeoGebra like as animation, different ways to fill forms, etc., was possible demonstrate to the students some geometry concepts that would be hard to demonstrate to students only with Black-board and chalk, cause this will depends a lot of the abstraction ability from the students and many of the students from the basic and high school don‟t have this ability. Another factor addressed in the study was the mediation of the teacher in the classroom. After all, instead of using the GeoGebra to convey the content, the research was directed so that students drawing conclusions through induction caused by the researcher through the proposed activities. After the activities conducted interviews with some students, chosen by the students who participated in the survey, with the aim of assessing how the use of GeoGebra influences the learning of these students. Yet it is noteworthy that were shown the difficulties faced by students and by the researcher during the meetings.
