Atividades com funções polinomiais do 1° grau utilizando um software matemático gratuito

Abstract

This paper investigates the potential of free software for the teaching of polynomial functions of first grade with students in nith grade of elementary education at a public school in Goiás city. The importance of such research is due to the fact that the computer de laboratory is reality in most public schools. However, many mathematic’s teachers in primary school is ignorance about mathematical programs that can be used for teaching and learning of that discipline through computers. Therefore, we attempted to show possibilities for the mathematics class in a computerized ambient through activity sheets using the software Winplot. We conclude that using this program in mathematics classes contributes to greater participation of students in the construction of knowledge functions. After all, the software calls attention because different paper and pencil ambient is dynamic, it can be conclused charts and maneuver, besides being able to do it faster with a simple push of buttons. The students worked as researchers in the mathematical content studied. They did experiments using the computer to confirm your conjectures that after discussed with one or more schoolmates were in the statement of activities. The study of functions using software Winplot was considered positive by the researcher and students, however we believe that other researcher and students, however we believe that other research in the area still needed.
