Resistência cultural no Brasil no período ditatorial: Augusto Boal e a influência do teatro do oprimido

Abstract

This research aims to reflect on the Theater of the Oppressed (2000) by Augusto Boal. This paper seeks to discuss the contributions of Boal's work in the struggle for cultural resistance in the period of military dictatorship, emphasizing how it has relevance to academic research, highlighting its critical and historical aspect. To this end, a bibliographic research was carried out on the subject, from the consultation of books, documentaries and scientific articles in the area. At first, we sought to establish a historical panorama of the Theater and then explain the definition of Military Dictatorship, as well as the life of Boal, and the Theater of the Oppressed as the most relevant work of his career and how became a source of criticality and historicity.
