QUEM É O PROTAGONISTA? A PRESENÇA MARCANTE DO NARRADOR EM AMAR, VERBO INTRANSITIVO

Abstract

Brazilian modernism was a literary movement that revolutionized the way of telling stories, bringing innovation and diversity to national literature. When we examine modernist works, we can see the complexities of the characters and the strong presence of the narrators. Therefore, the objective of this work is to discuss the figure in the narrator and his influence on the construction and development of the narrative in the work Amar, Verbo Intransitivo by the modernist writer Mário de Andrade (2013). The study consists of a bibliographical research with analysis of the literary text. To support our discussions, we brought notes from Candido (2000, 2007), Genette (1972), Moisés (1977, 2001), Borges (2019) among other authors who make up the fabric of this work.
