A IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DA LEI FEDERAL Nº 10.639/03 NO COLÉGIO ESTADUAL JOSÉ PEREIRA FAUSTINO (CRISTIANÓPOLIS/GOIÁS – 2003 a 2018)

Abstract

The choice to discuss the implementation of Federal Law No. 10,639/03 at Colégio Estadual José Pereira Faustino, in Cristianópolis-GO, from 2003 to 2018, was due to the fact that he was a former student of the aforementioned educational institution in the network. public state, as well as the specific interest of a historian in training, who considers it important to reflect on how the aforementioned law is being applied in the school environment with a focus on ethnic-racial discussions. The research had the general objective of investigating the applicability processes of Federal Law No. 10,693/03 in the aforementioned educational institution with a focus on the development of possible projects and results achieved between its approval period until the present moment. To answer this question, we used the methodological approach related to the written source (use of questionnaires) and the theoretical contributions of authors, among others: Barros (2017), Garcia (2007) and Brasil (2003). At the end of the research, questionnaires were administered to high school teachers and students, in which it can be observed that, despite the existence of a legal provision and the teachers claiming to know the law, the students, in turn, do not know this legal provision. and, in fact, what exists is a divergence between teachers and students regarding ethnic-racial issues.
