O PORTO DA EULÁLIA: Descendentes do Anhanguera às Margens do Rio Corumbá-GO (1840 a 1909)

Abstract

This monograph has as its theme O Porto da Eulália: Descendants of Anhanguera on the banks of the Corumbá River-GO (1840 to 1909) and the proposed objectives will discuss how Eulália Anhanguera and her daughter Alzira Cassimira do Espírito lived Santo in Porto da Eulália between the years 1840 and 1909, understanding the role of these two ladies in the murder of Manoel de Souza Lobo, analyzing how they began to be seen by society after the homicide, thus problematizing the reasons that influenced the crime. The time frame is justified because, around 1840, the bandeirantes, in particular, Anhanguera and his family had already arrived in the region whose lands were part of the trial of Santa Cruz de Goiás. Bartolomeu Bueno da Silva, the Anhanguera entered the lands of Goiás and acquired permission to explore the lands interior areas of Goiás for settlement and one of these regions became known as the Porto do Anhanguera, later Porto da Sinhazinha, and finally Porto da Eulália, located today on the border between the municipalities of Urutai and Pires do Rio, basically in Roncador where the Railway Station is located today. In production textual, authors who worked on the theme “Bandeirantes” will be used, among them, Pacheco (2008), Borges (1980), Valle (2015), among others.
