SENTA AQUI NESSE BANCO E VAMOS OUVIR HISTÓRIAS/CONTOS POPULARES DE PIRES DO RIO-GO (1970-1980)

Abstract

The present research Sit Here on this Bank and Let's Listen to Stories/Popular Tales of Pires do Rio-Go (1970-1980) problematizes whether it is possible to perceive changes that occurred in the city ​​of Pires do Rio-GO, in the last four decades, based on the memories of accountants of stories/interviewees, what were these transformations and what did they represent/represented for the Piresinos who lived through those decades. The font used to answer this question was spoken orally, therefore, interviews were carried out with residents from the city of Pires do Rio-GO, in the age group between 40 and 90 years old, in order to respond to proposed problem. Based on these observations, the work was organized into two chapters: in the first the concepts of memory and orality are discussed, supported by theorist Le Goff (1974), Montenegro (2010) and others; in the second, the data collected in the interviews were selected and analyzed, verifying the changes that occurred in the city and the that they represented to the city's residents.
