Formação de pedagogas (os) para atuarem na Educação de Jovens e Adultos: realidade e desafios

Abstract

This work presents reflections on the initial training of Pedagogues (os) to work in Youth and Adult Education - EJA, seeking to analyze the professional trajectory of these subjects, the workplaces, as well as their view on the period in which they began their graduation. This work is based on a bibliographic analysis of the EJA, categorically exposing its history, so that there is an understanding of the legislation on which it is based, as well as the legislation that governs the formation of Pedagogues (os) to work in this modality. Noting that the right and identity of the EJA are guaranteed since the promulgation of the current Federal Constitution; we resumed the legislation referring to teacher training and also the National Curriculum Guidelines of selected areas, in which the specificity of Youth and Adult Education was omitted. This work also evaluates the silence in relation to EJA, in the degrees, and how it is confused with the situation of this type of education in Brazil. Target of modest goals, discontinued and fragmented policies, the EJA translates a project in which the universalization of quality basic education for all has been a minor issue.
