Educação ambiental: realidade e desafios nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental

Abstract

This work aims to investigate the reality and challenges of Environmental Education in the Early Years of Elementary School, considering that Environmental Education should be part of the daily routine of schools, providing students with a more meaningful teaching; specifically, a study from the Municipal Center of Basic Education - CEMEB - Maria de Nondas, located in Luziânia, state of Goiás (GO). Its methodology is the use of qualitative research, with the research modality, the case study, through the research technique, the semistructured interview. Law No. 9,795 of 1999, in Article 10, points out that the educational practice needs to be developed in an integrated, continuous and permanent way, and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) shows that Environmental Education is focused on environmental issues and the very survival of the species that make up the fauna and flora. However, basic education based on the National Education Plan, approved by Law 10,172 / 01, establishes a priority for basic education to universalize school attendance, having access and permanence to all children in school. This work makes an analysis of the type of Environmental Education concluded that this school through the conditions and partnerships has been developing a relevant work to raise awareness of the community and students, even though they do not have enough employees to perform this work in school. Teaching and respect for nature have become essential for the human formation in this school, that is, it counts in the most valuable thing life on the planet and the coexistence in society.
