hrough a qualitative and biliographic approach, this article addresses the theme of playfulness in pre-school and raises the following question: is playful important in pre-school? Thus, the objective of this study is to understand the importance of playfulness in preschool. And, the specific objectives are: to identify the importance of games and play in the teaching and learning process, to verify the contributions of playfulness to the preschool child and to discuss the Common National Curriculum-BNCC and early childhood education. In the light of: BNCC (2017); the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law - LDBEN (2017); the National Curriculum Guidelines for Early Childhood Education - DCNEI (2010) and Bacelar (2009); Ferreira (2000) and other authors this text promotes a reflection and analysis of the proposed theme and points out that playfulness in preschool can contribute to the learning of children in Early Childhood Education.
